Summer Reading is for all ages!

Registration opens May 1 for the Adventure Begins at Your Library 2024 Summer Challenge!

Workflow:

HOW IT WORKS:

 

KIDS

READ!  Read or have someone read to you for at least 15 minutes each day. The 15 minutes does not have to be read all at once. Books should be at, or above, your reading level. 
LOG!  Keep track of how many days you read or listen to books for at least 15 minutes. Use Beanstack, the Beanstack Tracker app, or this paper calendar to log your reading.
PRIZES!  Each time you complete 10 days of reading, up to 50 days, you'll earn a small prize and an entry into the grand prize drawing of your choice. See the prizes below!
All prizes are available while supplies last. Prizes will be available inside the Library during regular operating hours. You may also schedule a curbside prize pick-up by calling (515) 978-7944.

ADULTS

READ!  It can be a book, audiobook, eBook, magazine, newspaper, webcomic—you name it! Reading to or with kids counts too.
LOG!  Use Beanstack, the Beanstack Tracker app, or this paper calendar to log your reading.
PRIZES!  Every half hour that you read counts as one entry into the weekly and grand prize drawings. While supplies last, you’ll get your choice of a throwback gel pen when you turn in your first log (five hours)! You can get additional drawing entries by completing optional activities. See the prizes below!

BEANSTACK - ONLINE REGISTRATION

Logging with Beanstack is easy! If you have previously created an account, simply log in and click ‘register’ on the program of your choice. Profiles can be added to your existing account at any time making it easy for families to log together.
NOTE: If you have PREVIOUSLY registered for an account, no need to register again! Simply log in and join the program of your choice!

First time Beanstack users: 

  1. Go to waukeelibrary.beanstack.org 
  2. You can register an individual for an account, or register an entire family by choosing another child or register another adult when prompted.
  3. Upon registration, each individual will receive their first badge and will be able to begin logging books and activities!
