Learn the basics of henna from the comfort of your home! In this online class, DSM henna artist, Maggie Goldhammer, will start by giving a brief talk on what henna is, its history, and its cultural significance. She will then demonstrate how to apply henna and how to make your own design at home.

The video of this class will be publicly available from Friday, July 31st at 1:00pm to Sunday, August 2nd at 1:00pm. The video will be viewable via the Library's social media accounts and a link to the video will also be posted here:

However, we are also doing a limited registration for a curbside pick-up of a cone of henna and a helpful handout (one per household)—so you’ll be ready to bring your design to life at home. Please do not register if you do not intend to pick-up supplies at curbside pick-up.

Those who are registered can pick up their henna cone via curbside pick-up on Friday, July 31st from 9:30am to 11:30am OR Saturday, August 1st from 9:30am to 11:30am. Curbside pick-up will be located at the Library (unless otherwise stated). Library staff will be wearing masks during distribution.
