Monsoon Asians and Pacific Islanders in Solidarity invites you to step forward and show how much your body means to you by participating in "Letter To My Body," a community exhibit project planned for Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

The idea of this project is for people to write a letter to their body, be it what they like and appreciate, to things they dislike and are ashamed of. The intention is to highlight how culture, gender norms, and taught beliefs impact sexism, sexual harassment and other forms of sexual violence.

The reception will have a panel discussion and letter-writing workshop. Attendees are encouraged to submit their anonymous letters to be displayed as part of the exhibit.  Letters will be screened for appropriateness. Children are welcome to attend can join in a separate workshop, which will be conducted as a recreational activity. Refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public.
