Explore the art and science of making handcrafted soap from scratch with Ann Staudt of Siberian Soap Co. in this online demonstration-style class! Using the centuries-old cold-process soap making technique, Ann will teach you how to combine plant-based oils and lye to create soaps that are mild, moisturizing, eco-friendly—and even safe for mermaids. Each attendee will take home a bar of herbal handcrafted soap, so you can live your best mermaid life. 

Registration Required for this online class. Those who are registered to "attend" will be emailed a private link to the class video—so double check that you have entered a valid email address! The  class video will only be available to view from Saturday, June 27th at 1:00pm until Wednesday, July 1st at 1:00pm. 

Those who are registered for this class will be able to pick-up their free bar of herbal handcrafted soap (one per household) via curbside pick-up on Friday, June 26th from 9:30am to 11:30am OR Saturday, June 27th from 9:30am to 11:30am. Curbside pick-up will be located across the street from the library, in the parking lot of the Waukee Middle School. Library staff will be wearing gloves and masks during distribution.
