The library offers a variety of services for our patrons. Reserve a meeting or study room, checkout a book club kit, access your online account anytime, and much more!

Using the Library

New to the library? Don't have a library card? We can help you with that. Library cards are free and available to all residents of Iowa who are at least 5 years old. With your card, you can borrow books, books on CD, DVDs, STEAM kits and magazines, or use it to access our many online services for eBooks, audiobooks, tutorials and research articles.

 

Home Delivery

Waukee Public Library’s Home Delivery service provides library materials to Waukee residents who are unable to visit the library due to temporary or long-term illness, disability, or special circumstances. Home Delivery participants must reside within the Waukee city limits and be eligible for a library card.

 

Interlibrary Loan

The Waukee Public Library is connected to other libraries throughout the state and nation. If you can't find an item in this library, ask library staff to help you get it from another library.

 

Book Club to Go

Book Club To Go is a service of the Waukee Public Library that provides the convenience of complete kits for book discussions.

 

Meeting Rooms

Meeting room space is available for non-profit/non-fee based groups to use without charge. Rooms must be reserved in advance by phone or in person during the library’s normal business hours.

 

Study Rooms

Study room space is available for individuals or small groups to use without charge. Study rooms can be booked for two hours. Rooms can be reserved that same day by phone or in person during the library’s normal business hours.

 

Computers & Printing

The library offers a variety of technology and computers for patron us. We have public desktop computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office, free Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspots, a fax machine, and scanner.

 

Test Proctoring

Many colleges and universities, especially those offering online or distance education services, are recommending that students go to the local public library for test proctoring services. Waukee Public Library is happy to offer proctoring services as well.
