Board of Trustees

The Waukee Public Library Board is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees. The trustees are appointed by the Mayor for a three-year term, limited to two consecutive terms. Residency in Waukee city limits is required for appointment.
The Library Board of Trustees is responsible for establishing Library policy, authorizing services provided by the Library, establishing the Library budget, and hiring the Library Director. Library Board members do not receive compensation for their services.
The Waukee Public Library Board of Trustees meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. The meetings are open to the public. Agendas are posted 24 hours prior to the meeting.
The Waukee Public Library is a department of the City of Waukee and funded with Waukee resident property tax dollars. The Waukee Public Library provides materials, programs, and resources for all residents of Waukee and the surrounding communities.
